Culture literacy argument
Purpose: To examine the thought processes of the writing and revision you completed this quarter and to analyze the decisions behind both processes. Through this reflection you may identify skills and/or interests that you can continue to develop as you advance in your college education or that you may apply to your professional career. Reflection is meant to make the experience more purposeful and memorable.

Task: Write a formal essay in your voice (re: your chosen discourse) that reflects on why you chose your theses and how the revision process helped you develop those claims. You will be discussing the purposes of the literature review and the argument essay on a more intimate level.
Questions to Answer:
1). How do the unique hypotheses from the quarter relate to your personal life? If they don’t, why did you choose your focus?
2). How did the revision process help establish your claims?
3). How will these claims relate to your future?
Criteria for Success:
The most important element for success in this essay is the sincerity of your response. This will be established by specific citations to your work as you answer all three questions.
Writing Process
· Purposeful strategies for idea generation, revision, editing, and proof-reading
· Edit for control of surface features such as syntax, grammar, punctuation, and spelling
Critical Thinking
· Sincere reflection on the student’s own writing process
· Contextualize and present a clear thesis or purpose
