Employee Experience

Introduction

Employee experience refers to any exposure the employee holds in the company in the line of duty. The employee gains experience from the interview process, during induction, and every development of the company. It is also gained through daily activities and learning new things from other employees. The employee experience impacts the company by increasing its daily productivity. It is also believed that experienced employees will always teach other staff how things are done, resulting from increased productivity. During the recruitment process, the experienced employees will always be retained, thus reducing the costs of recruiting new employees. They tend to improve the customer service experience. They are believed to have perfected their marketing skills that create a thriving organizational culture; thus, it will increase productivity. They create an overall positive image; hence it creates customer loyalty. The employees tend to be creative and innovative, resulting in the company being competitive in the market.

Talent Shortage

Most companies have realized that employees remain to be the best asset to achieve their goals. The more the employees are experienced, the more likely the company can create a positive reputation, thus improving growth (Tran, & Smith, 2020). For the company to find the right talent, it takes a long process, and it will be costly since they have to recruit employees by interviewing and selecting the employee they want. Retaining an experienced employee is the best choice since it is less costly. Training the new employees to acquire the right skills might take a long, which may affect the company’s reputation.

Recently, attracting real talent remains a top priority for many companies with a big pool of bright sparks. Most companies have realized that they are hiring employees who do not have the right skills for the job, which leaves an employment gap that may attract talented employees to other companies (Yohn, 2016). The companies are battling to retain talented employees since the best employer will attract them. With talented employees, the company is becoming innovative, thus retaining competition in the market. Talent acquisition remains to be a great challenge in companies.

Customer Service Experience

Experienced employees tend to have the best customer relations skills. It is believed that the employee can solve the customer’s challenges by offering solutions. An example is where a customer lacks a product wanted instantly in the company, but the employee can convince the customer to select another product after understanding the kind of product he/she wants. The employee educates the customer more on the product, and they close the deal. In case the customer is not well convinced, the bond is created (Itam, & Ghosh, 2020). Good customer service skills will help to retain loyal customers and, at the same time, attract new customers. The more the sales from the company, the more the company is expected to increase its revenue.

Experienced employees have mastered the marketing skills. A good marketer's skills include being a great storyteller, knowing their customers and markets, using the data to make decisions, risk-takers, and creating remarkable customer experiences (Tucker, 2020). These skills are acquired with time, and this means experienced employees are the best. They create a thriving organizational culture that will attract many customers. The employees have established strong networks on their previous jobs, and they may bring them to the company, which is a win situation for the company. The experienced employees create a positive image of the brand; thus, this will result in customer loyalty. Gaining customer loyalty is believed to be one of the hard tasks.

Encourages Innovation

Experienced employees are believed to have acquired the right skills and knowledge in given areas. Due to their experience, they have been exposed to decisions that made the company propel or collapse. The decision they are expected to make is likely to make the company make major strides; thus, they will increase production. They come up with the best suggestions on how the company will invest despite the risks involved, and out of investments, the company will gain positively (Tran, & Smith, 2020). The employees can handle every challenge that may arise while investing. It is believed they have the solution to every challenge. This will help the company to grow.

Due to the exposure in different areas, employees will always develop ways to improve their areas of specialization. This will result in increased production and innovations. Creativity will lead to the production of high-quality goods and services. The more quality the goods are, the more the customers are likely to trust the brand hence become loyal. More innovation will make the brand unique or pacesetter to other companies. There is a likelihood that the experienced employees will impact knowledge to other staff who are expected to contribute to the overall increase of production of goods and services (Itam, & Ghosh, 2020). This will result in the growth of the company's revenue and sales.

Saves Hiring Costs and Time.

Most of the companies will retain experienced employees because it will save the cost of hiring new employees. The recruitment process is costly such that it will leave the company in a financial burden. The recruitment process will involve building a job description that will fit the employee (Tran, & Smith, 2020). The next process will involve sourcing talent either by networking and media advertisement, which is costly and is not affordable to some companies. The next process is the screening of applicants where the personality and skills are tested. It is a lot of workloads that consumes a lot of time. The last step is selecting the best candidate and offering the job to the selected candidate. Instead of going through the tedious process, the company will prefer to retain an experienced employee.

In the recruitment process, the experienced employee is selected because of the ability to aid the organization in achieving its goals. The experienced is believed to have some knowledge and different experience from another organization that will positively impact the company. The employee is expected to showcase the talent, and this will impact the company positively (Abhari, & Solomon, 2020). The employee will develop ways to improve the area of specialization by bringing ideas from the previous company. The employee can easily identify areas of improvement and acts as a benchmarking point. This will help the company identify its area of weakness and become competitive in the market.

Catalyzes Company Growth

Ultimately, the more the company has employees with long experience, the more the company experiences growth phases. After considering increased production and improved customer service, company growth is projected to be upward. Once the customers are served well, they are most likely to come back with other customers. An increase in customer base will improve the company's growth (Abhari, & Solomon, 2020). With steady growth, the company is likely to invest in other projects that may require to be handled by experienced personnel. If the company is investing in different geographical locations, it creates awareness of the brand and improves marketing, which will make the company improve its productivity.

It is believed that the more the company has the best-talented employees, the more the growth of the company. It is also expected the more the employees have experienced, the fewer disruptions, and this will lead the company to achieve its goals easily. Talented employees will always have solutions for challenges that may arise (Tran, & Smith, 2020). They also come up with new ideas meant to stimulate company growth. They offer corporate leadership that aims to look into employee concerns because the more the employees are motivated, the more productive they are. Experienced employees tend to focus more on delivering on the tasks given to make the company better. This will increase the growth rapidly.

Reduces Employee Turnover

High employee turnover can negatively affect the company and, in the end, cripple it after the company loses employees, whether firing or retention, it will have to replace the employee. The hiring costs, induction process, and training undergone by an employee are crucial, and in case the employee leaves the organization after a short period, the experience can be devastating. Such a scenario will not only lead to a monetary loss but also can be the impact on the culture will be damning (Yohn, 2016). The customers will not be happy with the attrition rate since they create a good rapport with employees with wide experience. The company will retain experienced employees by all means to promote its culture for a long period. It also helps the company avoid the mistakes of repetitive disruptions.

It is also believed that the company that cannot retain its experienced employees for a long period does not promote health policies and standards. In reality, employees do not leave the workplace because of poor payment but rather toxic workplaces. It is approximated that only 12% of the employees leave their duties because of poor pay (Tucker, 2020). The employees tend to be less engaged, which shows no one is concerned about their affairs. Employees that are highly engaged will not leave the organization for the less engaged counterparts. The good rapport created between the customer and employee for a long time will make the company achieve its objective and will maintain company loyalty.

Conclusion

In conclusion, maintaining an experienced employee in the company is the best decision to make. The reason being they will stimulate the company's growth with the use of the experience they have. They have mastered the skills of engaging the customers and crossing deals. They do not want to be trained; rather, they act as assets in the company by training other employees. They come up with ideas that will stimulate the growth of the company. They help the company earn more profits when they come up with innovative ideas that make the company invest. They know how to market the company well and create a good company reputation. They have excellent customer service skills that make the customer loyal to the brand.
