BA Week 6 paper
· Due June 19 by 11:59pm
· This paper is in conjunction with that last paper you wrote for me about the issues of cannabis.
· I will attach the paper you wrote last week that has to be in relation to.
You have identified a topic in your first paper. (see attached)
1. Now research the literature to see what interventions work best to solve the problem you identified. See what clinical practice guidelines have to say on the topic.
· An example is a fall risk patient. Many interventions have been developed to help clinicians with this problem. However, some may be better for your work environment than others. Example bed alarms versus sitters. A helpful tool and resource website is the:
https://www.ahrq.gov/prevention/guidelines/index.html (Links to an external site.)
2. Develop a clearly stated desired outcome for practice change. Use the researched literature of evidence to address the clinical question and to support the desired outcome/s.
Guidelines:
·
· The search of the literature means selecting the best of the literature offerings in relation to the issue at hand to review. Hierarchy of evidence is important as is the relevance of the results.
· Results of the search of the literature should include a minimum of five resources from professional journals, peer-reviewed journals, clinical guidelines, and other contemporary nursing, medical, management, or allied health sources.
· Critically assess the five resources using appropriate criteria from the text. See the appendixes for tools that will help you identify good from the bad.
· Summarize the findings of the five resources appraised, including pros and cons, utility, practicality, and relevance to the clinical question.
· There is no page limit for this section of the paper, but remember that the topic needs to be adequately covered. See the Outline for EBP Papers.docx below for an outline of expectations in the four papers (see attached)
