Riff on Avengers or Game of Thrones or other TV/film of your choice (EG, Westworld, The Leftovers, Handmaid's Tale, The Good Place, disaster films, etc.).

2- Who Sang it? Heavy Metal or Christian Hymn?
Top of Form
religious-historical point. Read the follow lines from songs and guess whether they are from a heavy metal song or a Christian hymn. a. "And as a stinking steam and smoak of Brimstone bad does smell/And blinds the Eyes, and Stomach choaks/so are the pangs of Hell."
b. "Speak of the devil he's no friend of mine/To turn from him is what we have in mind."
c. "Burning lives burning/Asking me for the mercy of God..."
d. "The devil is never a maker/The less you give you're a taker..."
e. "God, he is a consuming fire, and the flames burn down deep in my soul..."
The point here is to recognize the "end" imagery of hell largely stems from Christian imagery whether it is in a Christian context or not. And there are deeper insights to glean here as well.
So, make your guesses and share your rationale!

Vampires had a good run in the 1980s and 1990s. Aliens followed and perhaps supplanted them for a while. But zombies have been kings/queens of the monsters of late.
