Statistical techniques

Many different statistical techniques are very useful and play a vital role in directing research. Some of the most widely used techniques involve the use of tables, graphs, charts, extreme values, mean, median, standard deviations, and most important hypothesis. The purpose of this paper is to discuss these statistical techniques briefly. Statistical techniques in analyzing complex events through the use of mathematical formulas. For conducting any kind of research, researchers and scientists need to have a huge knowledge of these statistical techniques for better results. There is a variation of statistical techniques that scholars use when directing their studies. Statistical techniques and approaches are used to deliver their research results.

Researchers or scholars use graphs, tables, and other forms of charts to provide a symbolic view of the research to the reader for better understanding. It is frequently easier for the readers to understand what are they are reading or analyzing through the study that is presented to them by having a graphical or symbolic view of the data.

Graphical analysis

Graphical analysis is one of the most commonly used statistical techniques by the researchers. They use graphical analysis to represent the graphical aspect of the study such as quantitative data. For instance, research that shows the data or information with the help of graphs, tables, and charts in Hanna Ritchie and Max Roser’s research, which revolves around the causes of death in the world. This research focuses on determining the main causes of death that happens annually by the help data that they gathered from all around the world. Using graphs in this research to support the gathered data or information allows the audience and readers to more easily understand the results. Through this research example, the audience by seeing the graphs can easily understand that heart attack or cardiovascular illness was the top or main reason for death in 2016 (Fischer, 2000,).

Testing Hypothesis

The procedure of hypotheses is useful for collecting the data that is necessary or required for the research purposes or to make vital decisions. According to a recent study of 2017 by Lind, hypothesis testing means that a procedure that is based on sample evidence and possibility theory to analyze either the presented hypothesis is sensible or not (Fischer, 2000). For instance, hypothesis testing was used in a study based in 2000, on the connection between tobacco smoke and heart attack or cardiovascular disease. As stated above, cardiovascular illness or heart attack was the main reason of death all around the world. In this reading, the researchers theorized that the rise in platelet accumulation or the creation of plasma clots is usually formed by the ecological tobacco burn, which leads to heart diseases or increases the chance of cardiovascular attacks.

Inferential analysis

Inferential analysis of statistical technique is one of the most used analyses to apply conclusions that have been attained from researches or studies. Surveys are the most common method to obtain information from the individuals for inferential analysis, for instance, a study where the researcher's determined that doing exercise can improve students' test grades (Lind, 2017).. In the United States, about fourteen diverse schools combined a physical motion into their all student's school day program. As an outcome, the scholars concluded that that student who sustained their physical health up to about twenty-eight percent are expected to be talented in mathematics and the students who maintained their physical fitness up to twenty-four percent are more expected to be skillful in interpretation than all the students who cannot sustain their physical health properly. The information in this study states that physical health can improve the grades of the students (Howatt, 2017).
