you have to prepare a proposal. A proposal should consist of the following:

1. Company's name, (I chose Alibaba)

2. Introduction

3. Outline of the paper, including possible source for each section in the outline - this is more like a plan for writing, you should try to fill this plan up as much as possible

4. References

Think as an economist for the proposal : I just need a proposal but follow carefully the instruction , its an economics paper

Recall, your final paper and presentation should contain the following:

· Pick a company that you are interested in studying. Why does it interest you, more importantly, why does it interest the audience?

· Zoom out first --- give a broad history of the company, put it into our perspective; then zoom in to the last two decades. Give interesting/important facts and policies about the company.

· Had you been their CEO or economic adviser, what would you have done differently, and explain (with economic intuitions) how your strategy could have helped the company further its ambition!
