In this assignment, you will research and write an Artist Report.

RESEARCH Research an artist who specialized in illustration, or illustrative graphic art. You can do this online, and with library books. As you read about the art/artist try and establish what makes the work unique or interesting.

Select 3 artworks from the artist that you want to share.

ARTIST REPORT (Requirements) Write the following in MS Word or a word processing software:

1. 1. Title for your artist report (The title should be a definitive statement about

the artist or their artwork.)

2. Artist Name; Some relevant information about the artist (Who? What? When did they live and work? Why is the work important? How- what techniques, medium?...) (equivalent of 1 paragraph)

3. Three sample artworks, including artwork titles and the year each work was produced.

4. Regarding the 3 artworks: Analyze the composition, color, shapes, feeling or mood of one of the art works. (equivalent of one paragraph).

5. Regarding the 3 artworks: Pinpoint some elements of form (texture, balance, rhythm, size, scale, composition...and how this is evident in the works selected.) (equivalent of one paragraph) https://www.unahealydesign.com/elements-of-good-graphic-design/

6. Answer: Why is this an important artist? Or why is the artwork important?

7. Include: One comment or critique of the artwork that has been written about it. Note the source and author and include the comment/critique as

a sourced quote. 8. Upload on canvas: a pdf file that contains the examples of the artworks (no larger than 10 mgbs); plus a MS Word file (or an equivalent word processing file in pdf format) of the written part.

9. In the future we will go over appropriate layouts design, and you will eventually design a tabloid sized page layout in illustrator your report.
