“ I think the question of why companies are or are not catching on to the importance of workplace happiness lies within the upper level management, or corporate level, of these companies. People who are in positions like this can have a huge impact all throughout the organization. It's up to these people to "set the wheels in motion" and give their subordinates the ability to help the employees under them, and so forth. For example, from my personal experience in the workplace at a manufacturing plant producing syrup, dressing, and barbecue sauces, the corporate level management didn't spend much time at any of the plants. This makes it easier for them to want higher production numbers, and not be so empathetic to the ones they are putting all of this added pressure on. If a plant manager has a superior that is constantly adding more pressure or expectations to their workload, it makes it very difficult for that manager to balance the new expectations with making sure all of his employees are happy. This is why I believe that workplace happiness has to start at the top of an organization and filter down. “

“ When we think about the possible issues that a company may face in the business environment during starting to do business in China, cultural problems comes to mind at first. Cultural problem is not just about the language or life style. There is an also difference in consumption choices. In China consumers generally made choices based on the popularity of a brand. They tried to follow the today’s fashion. Also, they care each other’s opinions and influence their purchasing decisions. Social recommendations and advertisements are more effective than the brand’s quality. Thus, this situation causes chaotic and unpredictable business environment in China. Of course, there are other issues like financial and licensing agreements that should be learned in detail. “
