This is an interesting article discussing the pressing issues about Information Systems security. We all need to be aware of this, especially if we work in Information Technology. I agree with the security of how information technology is used and the security of data. Information Systems Security is one of the biggest challenges facing society’s technological age. It has become an integral part of everyday life in the home, businesses, government, and organizations.

I like how the key aspects were described in the article. It spoke about preventing, maintaining, ensuring data privacy and integrity, and safeguarding them. With the evolution of Information Systems, large amounts of data can be stored and therefore needs to be protected. I liked that there are organizations that promote ethical issues. We all should plan on reading more about those organizations!.

I think IT managers should make an effort to learn more about security. The article mentioned that several firms use information systems that cross traditional business functions to improve vital business processes. Therefore, I believe that unethical behavior within companies can threaten the security of the organization. IT managers need to be trained, and they are responsible for training their employees.
