Discussion Question: Must be 300 or more words

· Select three (3) of the sequencing patterns that you could use to organize your unit. Present a viable rationale for using each one in organizing your specific unit. Determine the pattern you will use and justify your decision.

Note: I will be teaching a unit on: RL 3.2 Recount stories, including fables, folktales, and myths from diverse cultures; determine the central message, lesson, or moral and explain how it is conveyed through key details in the text.

World-related Patterns

· Space

Based on naturally occurring physical location-planets

· Time

Based on chronological order-Civil War

· Physical attributes

Based on order in which physical characteristics occur-human development

Content-related Patterns

· Class relations

Based on similar criteria within a category-vertebrates

· Propositional relations

Based on similar criteria within sets of propositions-atomic theory

Based on level of complexity-elements before compounds
