The use of science is getting very important in nursing and it is used for the building of theories and practical knowledge required to improve the practices for clinicians and patient care system. The use of science is giving the core benefit for the nursing to enhance the innovative approaches required for the best practices for nursing. Many scientific advancements, for example, telehealth and telenursing, nursing informatics, photovoice, patient identification technology, smart beds, etc. are used to improve the functionality of nursing.
The science will help the nurses to understand the reason for ailment and they will consider their community environment and socio-cultural background to get knowledge about the reasons for the diseases. So they can get a better idea of how to care for the patient in the best possible options. The use of science in nursing can be considered a holistic approach because it considers each and every aspect of the problem (Adam, 2017). It is also considered as patient-centered care. The communication between the nurses and the patient's increases and hence there will be more and more satisfied patients.
The scientific method is very helpful in the nursing process and it is helpful in clinical practices. The nursing process is assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. And the scientific process is to ask the question, do research, and create a hypothesis, experiments, analysis of data and then the results. So these kinds of scientific methods can help in the nursing methods and there will be more and clear views of the methods and practices which are required for the better practice of nursing. The problems can be solved in a systematic way by using the scientific methods in nursing practices.
