· An introduction paragraph.

· Include the article's title (in double quotes) and full author's name (or authors' names) in the paragraph. You may also include the name of the news site, which would be in italics as explained in this unit's reading.

· Include a very brief overview of the main ideas.

· As explained previously, do not refer to the paper itself (e.g., "this paper will examine," etc.).

· One to two more paragraphs explaining main ideas from the article.

· Use deductive paragraphing and write mostly in active voice.

· Include an in-text citation in each paragraph to acknowledge the source of the ideas. The first sentence of each paragraph must have at least one citation (see the Citation/Referencing PDF for details about citation frequency).

· The introduction and detail paragraphs combined must contain 250–350 words.

· At this point, insert a first-level subheading,  Opinion, again, and check the Formatting PDF to know how this should be formatted. Follow this with:

· A paragraph of 80–130 words providing an opinion of the event, the technology, and/or specifics mentioned in the article, without personalization as explained in the reading.

· Do not quote from the article or reference any other sources; this must be based solely on your critical thinking.

· As previously mentioned, avoid using first person. Present your opinion objectively without personal references. Additional details and an example can be found in this unit's reading PDF.

· Then insert the subheading  Conclusion.

· Do not write a conclusion paragraph; this is what your classmate will do.

· On the reference page, present the heading  References. Follow this with a 7th edition APA reference entry for the article. 

· Do not use the citation tool in Word or any other citation generator; you are expected to learn to create entries on your own.

For all parts of the paper:

· Do not use first person (I, me, my, myself, we, us, or our) even in the "Opinion" section.

· Do not directly quote from the article or present any lists.

· Do not include mathematical formulas, code, computer commands, images, tables, or other figures
