Data Mining 2.0: Composing the Hypothetical Interview
Purpose: To practice putting together a questionnaire.
1. Generate a list of eight or ten questions for each interviewee you listed. Apply the wording techniques and question order.
2. Break into teams of two and conduct mock interviews in class with your fellow students. Use probes during your session.
3. Record the mock interview using the note-taking and reconstruction method. Use the format on the next page to get started.
4. When you have concluded the interview, ask for feedback from your interviewee. Did he or she feel your questions were appropriate? Can your interviewee offer any insight into improving the content or format of the questions?
