Initial definitions

What is your main objective with the data collection?

What factors that influence your problem are you trying to get more knowledge about?

What is or are the metrics for each factor?

How are you going to collect your data? For primary data: survey, interview, observation, other instrument, etc For secondary data: what official data source are you going to use?

If you are getting primary data direct from people, identify target personas. What characteristics could be important for you to have in mind when selecting people? (gender, age, culture, experience in the area, occupation, etc)

If you are conducting a

survey

What format are you using to create the survey? (google forms, another system?)

How and who are sending the survey? (email, social media, etc)

How many responses/data points are you defining as a target? Develop the questions you want to ask in your survey (add them to the tab "Questions" in this file)

If you are conducting interviews

Will the information be captured by recording of writing? (if writing, who will do it?)

How many interviews are you aiming to get, and who will do what? (you need a minimum of 5 interviews) Develop the questions you want to ask in the interviews (add them to the tab "Questions" in this file)

If you are collecting any other type of

data

Describe how you will collect your data and how many data points are you planning to collect

If you are using either survey or interviews, create a list of questions to be used. Tip: Start brainstorming questions divided by topics and factors you want to investigate. As you go, you will identify questions that could go together, eliminate some, create other, and so on. Do not try to get the final version from the beggining. Questions:
