On page 2 of this week's online lecture, reference was made to the fact that  flexibility

see file attached ( EMA 305 week 7 online lecture – Flexibility pdf. was required because, "...disasters unfold in unpredictable and dynamic ways...".  There are listed ten different reasons why this may occur.  Please select two of these reasons (pp. 2-3) or 2 others requiring flexibility that you have either seen or heard during the Covid-19 pandemic and discuss how these particular unpredictable situations were managed.  Students will be required to write a response 2 pgs. to the question. You will not be marked on your opinion but on your ability to present a valid argument and to manage constructive discussion with your cohort while integrating the material being discussed in the course. 

Remember, I expect you to borrow from the Learning Resources, BUT you MUST provide the appropriate citation. I will not accept work from you that borrows ideas and direct quotes without proper citation. For example, when you paraphrase an author's idea(s), or briefly quote their work you should immediately follow the paraphrase or quote with an in-text citation, for example: (Bullock, Haddow and Coppola, 2016, p. 146). The corresponding Reference section should note:

Bullock, J., Haddow, G., & Coppola, D. (2016). Introduction to homeland security: principles of all-hazards risk 

     management (5th ed.). Waltham, MA: Elsevier.

Remember, an organization can be an author. For example, a Reference section might contain the following entry:
