Biology writing homework
Current events in Biology
This assignment is worth 25 points, and is very simple.
Findings, discoveries, published experiments are happening all the time, and are reported in a wide variety of media, not just scientific journals. This is a two-part assignment. Part one is to find an example of something that is happening in biology each week, and cite the source where you found it, with a very short description of the article. The emphasis for your articles should tend to be at the organismal level. Example: I thought this was neat. 21 July 2020. How Yellowstone wolves got their own Ancestry.com page Since the wolves’ reintroduction to the park, 25 years of devoted watching has chronicled bold moves, big fights and lots of puppies. Next week, a notation on something else. You will start the week of 23 January, and finish the week of 27 March. (10 entries) This will be due 21 April. Some sources (but not a complete list): The Fresno Bee The San Francisco Chronicle Any other newspaper Time Newsweek Time.com CNN.com ABCnews.com
Bbc.co.uk sciencenews.org sciencedaily.com
Most any weekly or daily publication, however, the National Inquirer will not do! TV News shows can start your search, but the information needs to come from a printed resource.
Please note: this portion of the assignment will be handed in on one page. If you choose to use more than one page, you will lose points. Two pages: half off. Three pages, 80% off. Four or more pages: no credit.
