• Choose one of the categories of drugs and select a commonly abused drug from that category.
• Create a presentation, including:
o Define the drug and the drug category it is in.
o A brief history of the legal and illegal use of that drug in the U.S.
o Where does the drug fall on the Federal Schedule of Drugs? What is its medical use (if any)? What is its potential for abuse (if any)?
o How does the use of the drug affect the body? Can it cause death?
• The slide should contain short bullet points of information. In the Notes area, write what you would say about the slide information as if you were presenting to the class.
• Include images where appropriate.
Requirements:
• Submit a PowerPoint Presentation in APA format. • Maximum seven slides in length, excluding the Title and Reference slides. • At least two resources.
