Before developing the career development plan, one has to determine his interest or area of specialization. In my case, it is professional acting. Therefore, I will focus on how to start as a novice until I become professional.

Build at least 20 network relationships
Gain 1-year experience in professional acting

Feature in two series movies
Objectives
As noted in the introduction, the area of interest is professional acting. Therefore, the objectives are based on the area of interest. The objectives are both short term and long term. Specifically, by the end of the 5 year period, I should have built at least 20 network relationships with film making organizations and professional actors. Furthermore, by the end of the 2-year period, I should have gained 1-year experience in professional acting
By the end of the 1-year period I should have trained in professional acting
By the end of 3- year period, I should have featured in two series movies

The general milestones will be
Completion of the training program within a year
Participating in two series movies within 3 years
Having connections with at least 20 professional actors
Having connection with at least 10 movie-making organizations
Milestones
Notably, a career development plan is not cast in stone, it is a not a religious scripture that cannot be altered. As such, there will be annual evaluation of the objectives and occasional changes done where the situation demands a shift in the stated objectives. Whenever a milestone is attained, it would be appreciated. However, there are some milestones that may not be attained due either expected or unanticipated barriers. The milestones will be evaluated based on the number of movies participated in, and the number of network relationships and completion of the professional acting course

The inability to attain the milestones may arise from the internal or external obstacles. For example, in relation to internal barriers, I am sickly; as such, there may be cases where I am unable to finalize the training or to engage in acting when sick. Lack of finances may hinder movement to auditions; hence reduce my exposure to professional actors. Furthermore, external factors such as lack of immediate family support may derail the strategies for achieving some milestones such as creating professional networks

In case of disease outbreaks, follow government protocols
Solutions
The solutions to the challenges vary depending on the nature of the challenge and time experienced. For instance, in relation to lack of money, I would reduce my budgetary allocation to food and clothing so as to save money that would help in commuting for auditions or for classes. In relation to sickness, I would seek medical intervention promptly to reduce recovery time hence continue with the activities to attain the objectives.

Goals
One of the goals is completing a professional acting course. In order to achieve the goal, there are various strategies that I would employ, among them include creating time for college. That means I have to reduce leisure time, and create time in the morning and evening hours for studies and completion of assignments. I have to raise college fees and other contingency monies.

Among the hurdles that may be experienced in the attainment of the goal is lack of money. However, this will be addressed by saving and looking for part time job to raise part of fees. The other hurdle is lack of time, this will be solved by creating time in evening and morning hours and reducing time spent on leisure activities. The goal will be evaluated by determining if the milestone was attained as on 3rd November, 2022.

The second goal is acting in at least a series movie. The goal will be attained by taking steps such as; continuously searching for advertisements on acting auditions and attending them. This will require allocation of time and resources to carry out the audition searches. Furthermore, I have to link up with professional actors, who would inform me of upcoming or ongoing acting events.

The second goal is acting in a series movie. Whereas the goal is attainable, there may be barriers such as inability to attend auditions because of lack of transport fee or lack of time because the auditions may be held when I am busy with the classes. However, I will solve the hurdle by saving for fare. I will also create time by reducing leisure time so that I can focus on studies and get time to attend auditions.
