The primary purpose of this project is renovate and expand a small kitchen under a budget of $75000. The kitchen is somehow old and needs advance equipment installation and adjustment of settings to create adequate space for various kitchen activities. Since the kitchen’s operations have been stopped to pave way for expansion and renovation, the project should take as little time as possible to get it ready sooner for use.

The project vision is to ensure the kitchen has adequate space and advanced kitchen ware equipment installed. The project team will consist of the project contractor who is the kitchen owner, assistance contractor and two workers specialized in kitchen designs. Some of the risks that the project is likely to encounter include delay of materials, weather condition that may prevent the workers to arrive on time, initial plan errors including inadequate funds to complicate the project.

The project management methodology to be applied in the kitchen expansion and renovation is waterfall methodology. Here, all the involved phases will be accomplished in a linear and sequential manner whereby each stage will have to be completed for another to take place. The stages involved in waterfall methodology include requirements, analysis, design, construction, testing and deployment and maintenance.
