Prior to completing this assignment, be sure to read Chapter 5 in Brown and Green (2020) and Victor (2017). In addition, view Gardner (2011) and GMCTL UofS (2013). In this week’s Assessing Instructional Needs discussion, you analyzed the need in your chosen organization in Week 2. In this assignment you will analyze the learners for that organization who will benefit from the training or instruction offered to meet the learning need. You may use resources in addition to the course text to gather additional information about your learners. Relevant professional associations might have data about their general membership or other sources, such as the  Occupational Outlook Handbook Links to an external site.  of the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics may be helpful. In your paper,

· Write a statement identifying your intended audience for the instruction.

· Describe the audience’s general characteristics (i.e., age, gender, educational level, and physical abilities).

· Describe the prior knowledge and skills needed to begin the instruction (i.e., computer literacy and specific content knowledge).

· Describe the attitude and motivational levels of learners upon entering the instruction (i.e., Are students intrinsically or extrinsically motivated?).

· Describe how the audience may prefer to learn and why.

· Use sources to support any claims, assertions, or conclusions.

 

The Conducting a Learner Analysis paper

· Must be three to five double-spaced pages in length (not including title and references pages) and formatted according to APA Style as outlined in the Writing Center’s  APA Style Links to an external site.

· Must include a separate title page with the following:

· Title of paper

· Student’s name

· Course name and number

· Instructor’s name

· Date submitted

· Must use at least two scholarly or credible sources in addition to the course text.
