Beginning Routine: What is your routine to welcome students and direct them to a productive task?

· First, the class will start the day with a good morning song. This will get them to going and energetic about the start of the day a new task. I will them inform the children what we will be working on.

· For example if we were discussing the task or topic “ My Body, The class will start the day by singing “Hokey Pokey” song to identifying Body Parts.

· The children will have a turn to identify body parts by showing or reviewing “My Body” picture cards or Outline.

· The children will point to Identify parts from My Body Outline.

· The children who count all body parts as a whole. The children will count their body parts to determine how many.

· The children will determine body parts by more, less, or equal parts by using My body graph worksheet and complete a My Body Outline using shapes.

Class motto you are planning to use:

The motto to be used is” Yes We Can”. It is a principled coined by former US President Barack Obama in his campaign trail that gave people trust and hope to vote him in office. As such, students will feel associated with hope an greatness thereby concentrating to improve classroom performance. (Add more here and expound on motto as if speaking to kindergarteners)

Guidelines for Success: List at least 4 traits that you will teach to help your students be successful.

· Focus on student needs. As the teacher, making sure topics are taught relevant to classroom plans. For instance, there should be congruency between learning styles and teacher strategies. The learning goals developed by the teacher should be realistic and achievable.

· Non-verbal communication. Self-control in students is high when non-verbal cues are taught by teachers. The teacher should always be aware of certain misbehaviors that may escalate via lack of non-verbal control methods.

· Active student involvement. By providing a paced model of learning, the teacher invokes an attractive coherence with their students. The presenting provides a smooth running and transition in the class. The reason being that some unexpected changes my affect student’s concentration. Thus this process needs to be under a positive discussion that connect the students with the respective tasks.

· Providing assistance. Once lessons starts, the teacher is free to answer any questions from the learners. The teacher must be aware of all happenings in the classroom that leads to offering ‘essential help’. This model helps in controlling the syndrome of dependency in students that ask unimportant or irrelevant questions.

Rules: List at least 4 specific, observable and positively stated rules that you will enforce consistently.

· Every minute counts. Students should begin work immediately the bell rings. The teacher can draw reflections that are interesting for the peers to occupy them in wanting attendance consistently.

· Keep hands and feet to yourself.

· Following directions immediately.

· Come to class on time, prepared, with all supplies and assignments.

Attention Signal:

Describe how you will signal your students. Include its visual, auditory, kinetic, and portable components.

By using non-verbal cues and reminders, the teachers can signal students both to show good or bad behaviors in class. This awareness is called ‘wittiness’ that aims in providing moral support to increase student self-control.

Ending Routine: What is your routine to wrap up the end of the day/class in a positive, organized way?

For students that might have issues in classroom, the teacher can engage in private discussions to ascertain the problem. Once class ends, you call the respective students and guide them regarding their issues. This prevents escalation of misbehavior and students feel they are being listened to.

As a whole bring the children back together as a group. Summarize the learning by talking about what the children did. Ask the children to describe what they were doing as they used the pre-cut shapes to assemble. Reinforce that the child had to assemble the shapes into a figure of “the body” in order to create the common body parts: Head, arms, legs, eyes, ears, mouth, etc. I will assist the children in displaying their work around the classroom. (Greenfield, 2009)

Managing Student work: What system will you use to manage student work efficiently?

By making roll calls on all students’ books and assignments, the teacher records the performances of each of them hence knowing specific problems to evaluate.

Assigning and collecting homework:

Homework is assigned regarding the last topic discussed in class. In collection, the prefect is given mandate to record total number of students and names. This allows follow-ups on the ones slower or sharper in delivery.

Dealing with late/missing assignments:

First, a discussion is done with student to know the main cause of delay. Once done, an average punishment is given respectively to avoid future regress.(Revise this and speak as if your talking to kindergarteners.

Feedback Procedures: How will you give effective feedback for academics and behavior?

Feedback is given immediately after showing proof of learning, the student responds positively and remembers the experience about what is being learned in a confident manner (Natalie, 2021). Giving students praise , ‘Good Job’ or ‘Nice Work’ Rewards, etc., during academics and behavior boost their self confidence. Making an effort to notice a student’s behavior or effort at a task is great feedback. Acknowledging a student and the efforts they are making goes a long way to positively influence academic performance. (Natalie, 2021)

Encouragement Procedures: How will you encourage students to demonstrate motivated and responsible behavior?

Class: You teach them about the benefits of moral ethics and good attitudes in education settings.

Individual:

Set meetings with individual students on daily basis and see how many you can manage in a day.

Under what circumstances, if at all, can students talk to each other during an activity? During whole group assignments children are able to discuss certain aspects of the Activity to get help and or gain feedback of better understanding. However, by raising their hands to be given a chance to speak. Listening to each other is a great way to being open with their peers. During individual assignments it is not permitted .

How do students get their questions answered during an activity? How do they get the teacher’s attention? By raising their hand when asking a question. The teacher then chooses one a t a time so that there is clarity in response they need.

Under what circumstance, if at all, can students move about during an activity? e.g., Can they sharpen a pencil?

When student needs to visit the washroom or wants to compare notes with other focused group on the question at hand if forgotten.

What does appropriate student work behavior during demonstrate their full participation?

Students can sit in the right places in the classroom during learning. Ask the teacher questions, and engage among themselves

Responses to students: When asking and answering questions from the trainer consistently without hesitating.

When a student gives a partially correct answer:

When a student gives a correct answer: each answer is always correct as long as it can be corrected later with the teacher. This motivates students to participate continuously.

When a student gives an incorrect answer:

This can create stigma hence all answers are right so long as it is within the scope of the topic.

What is your Homework policy:

Homework is done either while free in school before leaving or possibly at home. Each student must come with finished work the next day at school.

Student opportunities to impact their grades

The student are put in various groups so that they learn from each other. No one is perfect despite the different speeds of learning.

Under what circumstances if at all can students earn points:

When one performs exemplarily and in continuous form without retracting on their grades.

Under what circumstances if at all can students earn Extra credit:

Good performance not simply in academics but also in the extracurricular works.

Under what circumstances if at all can a students’ grade be dropped:

Students’ grades drop when there is lack of proper concentration in class due to both moral and social problems both at school and at home.

Policy and procedure for tardies /absences:

Absences:

When one is sick they can be leniency.

Tardies:

But with a continuous missing of classes can call for either punishment of call up on parents for explanation. Cleanliness is for parents to ascertain before students go to school.

Routine for how students will enter the room:

There is no specific rule but first come-first serve. Unless there is overcrowding that can lead to danger, the students can enter one by one.

Routine for how student will be instructionally engaged while attendance is taken and for how opening busing is conducted:

Attendance is called on students name on alphabetical order. While on bus, the students enter one by one as the bus diver click on their names alphabetically.

Routine for dealing with students who come to class without necessary materials:

The students are questioned and after that, they are advised to move to their locker-rooms for respective study materials.

Routine for wrapping up at end of day/class: once the bell is done, student can leave while picking their assignments from the teachers table.

Routine for dismissal: when a student showcased worst behavior like bullying others or engaged in immoral harassment, parents are consulted before expulsion.

Procedures for assigning classwork and homework: classwork are given to prefect to read for the class while student takes notes. However, the teacher can also explain where students are confused.

Procedures for collecting completed work:

Work is collected by prefects and put on the teachers table after all are done.

Procedures for keeping records and providing feedback to students:

In keeping children’s records, as teachers we use the following: Portfolios, rubrics, and progress reports are three ways to track student progress. However, there is a suggestion box in the classroom corner that the teacher checks daily and gives feedback on the next lesson. Portfolio are a accumulation of student work that can accompany the student from grade to grade or be sent home at the end of the school year. 

Procedures and policies for dealing with late/missing assignments: Students are summoned after entering the class to give specific explanations and viable penalty is given but some considerations may apply. (Revise this …. As if your speaking on kindergarteners….. “summoned “is not an appropriate word.
