Get their hands dirty in the cleaning.
Psychoanalyze through all the masters.
Turn their back.
Crumble.
Stagnate.
Make their bed. Wash their face. Just show up.
Reacclimating after tragedy
How does one bury a child?
How does one withstand a grievous betrayal?
How does one awaken after amputation?
How does one kiss opportunity good by?
How does one? Really.
This war seared the victims and the saviors. It seared the perpetrators. It seared mankind. It made the next step toward more depravity easier.
If we are wise, it makes us press the good closer to our lives.
But if you really intend to help me, stay with me gently - at a distance when I need that. Stay me gently. Do not try to immerse me in what I once knew and lost. Help me to live again but gently. I have to learn.
