1. Some people say that chatbots are inferior for chatting. Others disagree. Discuss.
Chatbots are computer programs that are deployed to simulate human conversation via voice commands and text chats. Chatbots can be embedded used through any major massage. Programming of chatbots determines its quality. Nevertheless, I feel that chatbots are not inferior even if they are computerized programs since they can operate without much human supervision, manage many chats, and pairing customer’s conversational data to their profile to improve their experience as opposed to living chats (Intellectsoft, 2019). They are superior in the sense that they can give quick and real-time responses to multiple customers. In a nutshell, chatbots are reliable and efficient if well managed.
2. Discuss the financial benefits of chatbots.
Financial benefits of chatbots include helping organizations and business entities to reduce their operational cost since they provide a less costly conversation platform for both clients and a particular brand, therefore, maintaining quick and effective with customers at any given time. Secondly, chatbots have been found to provide a progressive avenue for marketing and sale, an aspect that improves organizational productivity. (Intellectsoft, 2019) Lastly, chatbots financially boost customer’s sales and services as closely and firmly engages clients with specific brands through push notifications.
3. Discuss how IBM Watson will reach 1 billion people by 2018 and what the implications of that are.
It is believed that IBM Watson will reach 1 billion by using smartphone technology. Of recent more so in this 21st century, the world has witnessed a tremendous increase in smartphones and other technology-based devices (Kempt, 2020). It's strongly analytical ability that uses smart personal assistant will help it reach many people at ag also by using its numerous technological advanced tools such as Python SDK, Java SDK will help it reach 1 billion people, and the implications will be inclined to the services delivery improvement, quality treatment services, improved weather forecasting, and enhanced customers experience.
4. Compare the chatbots of Facebook and WeChat. Which has more functionalities?
It should be understood that the chatbots of Facebook often allow users to engage in text and messaging exchanges with appropriate assessments of the users' input to relay the correct responses. Perhaps the M tool that has been embedded in the chatbots of Facebook allows its users to share flowers and even order foods (Varshini, 2019). On the other hand, WeChat has many functionalities as opposed to Facebook chatbots and therefore can allow its users to have better experiences and engagements such as clearing water bills, booking hotels, order food, among many other services.
5. Research the role of chatbots in helping patients with dementia.
Chatbots help patients with dementia by allowing them to talk to it and perhaps recognize their speech patterns and identify any differences within their speech and aspect that help in easy detection of memory impairment. Family members and physicians can also use chatbots to diagnose the level of memory and speech impairment of their patients (Varshini, 2019).
6. Microsoft partners with the government of Singapore to develop chatbots for e-services. Find out how this is done.
In order to successfully develop Chatbots in Singapore for e-services, three major stages are usually deployed for the implementation (Intellectsoft, 2019). In stage one, using a vast database will be essential to generate factual answers for user's questions on a given chosen public service. The second stage will encompass expanding the chatbots' capabilities to enable the users to complete their simple tasks a given government based websites. And finally, the last bit will be making chatbots advancements to allow the government and Microsoft to respond to most of the individualized and customized questions effectively.
