Measuring Self-Esteem
1. Take the following test to see how you compare with others on this dimension. STUDENTS: Please do not to use your score as a diagnostic tool. Those who score “low” on self-esteem scales typically average well above the midpoint on most of the scale items.
The Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale is found by pulling the following article from the web or from the Lonestar Research Data base.

ROSENBERG SELF-ESTEEM SCALE
Description of Measure:
A 10-item scale that measures global self-worth by measuring both positive and
negative feelings about the self. The scale is believed to be uni-dimensional. All items are answered using a 4-point Likert scale format
ranging from strongly agree to strongly disagree.
2. Compare your scores to other students AND write an in depth discussion in terms of the content contained in your text regarding self-esteem and self-worth.
3. To get full credit, you must refer to the content in your text in both your discussion and response post and compare your scores to other students. This discussion will be graded much more rigorously.
