Week 2 - Assignment

· Describe your message in as much detail as possible, being sure to explain what your desired results for the message are.

I am a sales manager for a retail store and part of my role is to lead and inspire. Part of being a leader to me is leading by example and being on the floor with my team. I had to show them that I am the same and my title means nothing. We are in this together, with that being said they are times when I have to communicate messages to the entire team even when we are not all face to face so that is where the details matter.

· Describe the intended audience for your message.

The intended audience for my message is my team. Being that we all work so closely together and spend more time at work then we do at home it is imperative that we are all always on the same page as it pertains to the expectations of the work place.

· Explain how you think the use of visuals could help you effectively deliver this message to your audience.

The use of visuals can help explain the message I am trying to convey as well as hold their attention instead of a long boring email. Supporting visual graphics are not meant to overwhelm them with information but more to help clarify the message.
