Introduction: The cause/effect organizational pattern focuses on the question “why” by describing the relationships between two or more events. Any time you consider the reason something happened or the results of an event, you are using cause and effect. We know that nothing happens without causes and every event has effects. Cause/effect helps us to solve problems by looking at their causes. The pattern can also help us to make predictions by looking at the effects certain events have had in the past.

The Assignment:  Your objective is to revise the first draft of your Cause-and-Effect essay. The final draft will be a complete essay of 750 to 1000 words describing the causes of a problem in your field and supporting your ideas with a combination of research from both web resources and peer-reviewed journals. You may not use the first person (I, we, us) or second person (you) in this essay.

Specific Guidelines for the Final Draft:

· For a good paper, follow these guidelines to the best of your ability.

1. Open the feedback from your Module 3 Cause and Effect First Draft.

3. Contact the instructor for questions about the feedback.

4. Run the spell check (Tools-->Spelling in Google Drive or F7 in Word).
