Case Analysis

IB ISLO 2/CCBM ISLO 2: Students will be able to explain the major concepts, theories, and practices in global supply chain management and apply them to organizational decision making.

IB ISLO 3/CCBM ISLO 4: Students will be able to identify the major concepts, theories, and practices in international business and apply them to organizational decision making.

The analysis of the assigned case should include the following elements.

1. Identification of issues – the problem, scope, and importance of the issues must be explained

2. Situation Analysis – relevant data must be presented

3. Alternatives – specific recommendations must be given that relate to the issue and situation analysis

4. Recommendations – a specific plan of action that supports the presented facts must be presented

The report must be presented as follows:

· Title page

· Use of headers and subheaders to organize information

· Page numbers

· Logically organized and professionally presented

· Use of proper grammar, spelling, punctuation

· Documented sources of information

Criteria

The issues for the company are identified and presented in a 3-4 sentence summary. The issue is related to the supply chain.

Threats and Opportunities are presented for the Political/Legal, Economic, Sociocultural, Technological, Global and Domestic components of the general environment. Each T or O is identified by a number. Statements are presented in complete sentences. Sections are organized by headers .

Strengths and Weakness are identified for Marketing, Operations, Logistics, and Sourcing . Each S or W is identified by a number. Statements are presented in complete sentences. Sections are organized by headers .
