VERA CLAIBORNE , Plantiff - Appellant v. RECOVERY SCHOOL DISTRIC, Defendant Appelant

Facts

Claiborne was working as paraprofessional at Prescott Middle School, Claiborne worked primarily with special education students. Her job required her presence throughout the day on first, second floor, and during classroom instructional time. Oe of her task is to escorting student between firs, and second floor. The school building did not have an elevator.

On November, 2012, Claiborne slipped and fell the hallway while helping two student to go to the administrative office. after couple of days the doctor diagnosed her with ( A Sprained back ).

After her injury she had difficulties doing her job like walking up and down stairs at Prescott.

Ms. Claiborne asked for accommodations several times. Her suggested accommodations is to amounted to an improper reassignment of her job responsibilities to another employe as long as she doesn’t have to climb the stairs as frequently during the workday.

Claiborne requested to excuse her from bus duty, and lunch. She had terminated from her job after.
