Now that you have identified your project idea, you’re ready to outline your capstone project.
Please present the outline as follows:
· List 3-5 core questions you have selected to guide your essay/extended brief/presentation, then provide a thesis statement or main argument that provides an answer to some or all of these questions. Put your core questions and thesis at the top of the page, above the outline.
· Lay out in a clear manner how your project will be organized so that your argument proceeds logically from one idea to the next. Generally, it is useful to clearly present the issue you will address at the top of your project and then explain how you will engage this issue. Then, you may want to provide a guide for the reader.
· Use titled sections and sub-sections to organize your argument(s). Overall, make your capstone a serious work that:
· presents a key idea, tension, set of questions, etc.
· engages these ideas through a focused argument and/or clear point
· proves your policy position in a focused, logical and convincing manner
· concludes with some discussion of the larger relevance of what you’ve discussed
· Provide a bibliography/list of sources (with citations) that you will consult and rely upon to develop and support the primary arguments and claims made in your project/essay/other deliverable.
