and I realize you are accessing the work of others,

but you must acknowledge the source for your content.  

You must provide a list of links

and include a link to the sources within your report (DOCX) on every page and

on every slide in your presentation (PPTX).

On every slide and on every page,

there MUST be a link to the website from where you copied the image and analysis.

You should paraphrase and use quotation marks as necessary.

You need to give credit to the website who created the image. 

You can't take credit for their work and if you don't include the link you are saying you created the image and did the analysis.

In addition,

you should provide a list of all your links on the first slide of your presentation and the first page of your report.

Marketing Research Project

Per our syllabus, the deadline for HW i is Wednesday, October 23rd.

This assignment is worth 20% of your course grade.

. Goals:

1) To improve your ability to find and use information (information literacy skills)

2) to improve your knowledge of digital marketing technologies and

3) to improve your knowledge of marketing companies using technology to provide a service or product.

You will conduct desktop research by 

searching the internet for articles, reports, diagrams, and images

regarding this topic and prepare a report and presentation.

Marketing Technologies Transforming the World (3,000 word minimum)

Social media is one great example of a marketing technology,

but there are other marketing technologies you can identify for your project. .

Completing your project will require you to conduct some research and for you to identify website links

and gather sources of information regarding

the technology

the companies that market the technologies

how these companies are using technology to disrupt the marketplace

the names of the leadership team for the companies

a critique of the leadership (president & ceo),

technical product function,

unique selling proposition,

business model etc.

This is not the same as a marketing plan,

but rather a research report regarding Technology.

The project for 4100 Research and 4101 Strategy are NOT the same

and can not be about the same company.

please know that the project for BUSN 4100 Research is different. .

Your report for both courses can not be about the same company. .

Your Technology Research Report can NOT be about:

Alibaba,

Tesla,

Uber,

AirBnB,

Amazon,

Facebook,

Google, or

Apple.

If you submit a report about one of the above companies your score will have to be a zero.

One of the most important skills to have is the ability to follow instructions

and you should tell interviewers that one of your strengths is your exceptional ability to follow instructions.
