Introduction

The taxi business is about how to be at the customers' location at the right time when the driver is free to take customers. There are few companies in the taxi business that are widely recognized by customers than Uber® and Lyft®. If taxi services of Carz would adopt a similar delivery process like Uber® and Lyft®, they could be a well-known competitive in providing services of taxi business. This paper mainly researches information and data that is needed and required, managed, and stored to produce a business process re-engineering plan and to examine the feasibility of adopting features of the Uber® and Lyft® services delivered to customers. Carz company needs to modify its services platform, to become more competitive and increase the customers' loyalty and trust, by improving their customer pay interface. Already considered proposal is a Web Chat interface, to self-schedule taxis, in addition to the available traditional ways through telephone and email requests.

Business Process Re-engineering Plan

The platform of Lyft® increased its profits by imposing the subscription fee and riding fee for shared bikes and scooters. Carz to adopt the approach of Lyft® to increase profit, customer loyalty, and gain new customers and to be more competitive in the taxi business marketplace. Another strategy that Carz could adopt would be the dynamic pricing model deployed by Uber®. Besides, it is essential which mobile operating systems are used by customers or drivers (Android, Apple IOS, etc.) to respond to the dynamics of communities and changes in the transportation marketplace and segments.

The benefits of Web Chat Interface

Creating a web chat interface for Carz is an excellent strategy because it will supplement communication between the rider and the driver. A web chat component would enhance efficiency and improve customers' experience (Xu, et.al., 2018). Moreover, a live chat can give customers interactions in real-time, and the company will be able to reduce cost, improve flexibility, and track customer ride requests.

Recommendation - Analysis & Advantages & Negative impact

The recommendations were developed based on the nature of the problem that the company has experienced over time. Gathered relevant information concerning the needs of the company executives, identified the alternatives, weighed the evidence, and reviewed the decision and its consequences. An accountability plan is important to validate the performance and loyalty. There might be some challenges and limitations for Carz because they are new in the process. Poor-quality data can be a result of incorrect information, omission errors, or even deliberately manipulated details. The company could also encounter challenges tracking its customers. Therefore, the following are the recommendations: standard pricing model, compliance with laws and regulations, ride availability, accountability, security, trust, and loyalty model (customer and driver) and the web chat interface, which is an advantage to stay competitive in gaining new customers and existing customers loyalty.

Process of Decision-Making

Recommended is to gather demographic data about the users. The Carz company should offer discount per use and per km rate as a business model. The company management should schedule weekly meetings and discuss impacts and opportunities (solutions) to be successful. In conclusion, utilizing high-quality information is crucial to the company's success. By adopting a business model that incorporates modern technology, it is likely to achieve great success in the market (Cetin & Deakin, 2019).
