Mid Term Assignment - Literature Review

Purpose of the Assignment: The assignment is designed to provide students the opportunity to demonstrate their ability to develop a well-structured literature review with the inclusion of appropriate bibliography. The goal of this assignment is to monitor student learning and provide ongoing feedback.

Your task is: Please prepare and upload your suggested Literature Review with Bibliography. Please make sure that you provide 10 - 15 relevant valid and updated sources.

Your literature review should offer an overview of significant literature available in your chosen topic and include relevant items such as academic journal articles, books and other resources. Always remember that searching the literature should answer the following questions:

1. What is already known about this area? 2. What concepts and theories are relevant? 3. What research methods and strategies have been used in this area? 4. Are there any controversies? 5. Are there any inconsistencies in findings? 6. Are there unanswered questions?

Assessment Weighting: 40% of your Total Mark

Assessment Criteria:

1. Library/Internet based research. Try to use a mixture of resources - books, articles as well as the internet.

2. Understanding of the issues raised by the question.

3. Concise and clear presentation. Acknowledge any quotes, ideas or arguments that are not your own using the Harvard system. Include a list of references.

4. Originality and a critical and questioning approach. It is important to be objective and to support statements with evidence.

5. A logical structure.
