Program goals Vs Learning goals
Originally titled Taxonomy of Educational Objectives by educational psychologist Benjamin Bloom and his coauthors in 1956, what we now know as Bloom’s Revised Taxonomy (2001) is a model of classification for learning objectives that increases in complexity with learner ability. It is important to understand that the columns do not place value on the columns; remembering, for example, is a valid learning goal in itself. As you develop learning objectives, refer to the columns for selection of a performance verb that is the appropriate level of complexity for the learning to be achieved.
