Ecological Footprint Laboratory

 

Determine your own personal Ecological Footprint using the online carbon footprint calculator

found on such websites as the EPA's at https://www3.epa.gov/carbon-footprint-calculator,

www.nature.org and www.footprintnetwork.org. 

 

Or, just simply use a search engine to find a carbon footprint calculator that you will use for your laboratory. There are other websites you may choose from as well but choose the website(s) which provide(s) the information you need to incorporate into your project, compare your footprint to other citizens of the United States and other nations. 

 

List and describe three (3) practices that you realistically could implement in your daily life to reduce your current carbon footprint and choose one (1) practice to follow all this term and present your eight (8) weeks of data/results.    

 

Briefly describe what you think would happen to our biosphere if you and others such as family members, friends, co-workers, etc. were to practice just a single measure to reduce their carbon ecological footprint.
