1. The retailer order behavior graph shows the weekly order for beer by the case. For weeks one through four, there was no increase in the quantity of beer ordered on the chart. There is a slight increase in week four through five. From week six to week seven, there was a decrease. For weeks seven and nine, there is no increase on the graph. The bullwhip effect begins in weeks nine through thirteen. The quantity of beer ordered decreased from week 8 to week 9, then increased from week 9 to week 10.

2. There were noticeable inventory delays on the distributor inventory chart, which caused issues with production and order filling. The bullwhip effect was avoidable in the supply chain between retailers and distributors in Week fifteen.

According to the brewery costs chart, the company's inventory cost was high, causing its profitability to decline.

3. I learned from the simulation that supply delays would cause suppliers to pass orders up the supply chain. It may take several weeks for retailers to receive their orders. Backorders have a negative impact on retailer costs and are common in the supply chain, according to the simulation.

4. From the standpoint of supply and demand shock, the supply and demand of toilet paper was a negative supply shock. The demand for toilet tissue skyrocketed in 2020, and inventory distribution centers couldn't keep up with the demand.

Please elaborate on questions 1-4 and answer question 5.

1. This question asks you to provide an analysis. The submitted response just details the weeks that an increase occurred. We need to have more detail here to show that you understand the concepts.

a. You do not connect what happened in one tier to what happened in a different tier. I would like to see something to the effect of “this occurred for XXXX, and this different thing occurred for YYYY. This is evidenced by…” then you can support your claims.

b.  You were supposed to answer where there was evidence of the “bullwhip” effect?  Is there any evidence?

2. Did you identify 2 interesting issues?  What are they, why are they interesting? You wrote that the “brewery’s inventory cost was high” where is the evidence? Also, it was high compared to what?  You showed a graph, and that was it. I need more elaboration here.

3. This is a good start. However, I want to see a more detailed description here. I won’t give you the answers.

4. Again, this is good start. However, it is only “SORT OF” correct. WHY do you argue that the toilet paper issue was a negative supply shock? Negative supply shocks limit toilet paper production.  How was toilet paper production be limited by COVID?

4. The question asks for TWO DIFFERENT TYPES OF SHOCKS. You have included only one.

1. There should be a question that says “record your performance.”
