BA 332u Research Paper Assignment

Description of assignment:

Research the history of your chosen topic. Have at least 3 quality references. Your paper does not have to present an argument, but should illuminate the history of your topic, and interesting points about the topic. This is a short paper. Keep it brief and factual. Write clearly but don’t worry about formal structures like introductions and conclusions. That said, it should be clearly written, make sense and flow logically and/or chronologically.

Citing:

Proper citing is mandatory and expected. You may use APA or MLA format. Provide a bibliography on a separate page. Do not direct quote more than 2 sentences at a time.

Length:

3 pages.

Due:

Please upload the paper into D2L by 4:00 PM on 04/20/21. On 04/20 and 04/22 we will discuss your topics in class. This is informal. Please put together a short (4-8 slides) PowerPoint for discussion purposes. Plan on talking for 10 minutes or so then we will have discussion around your topic.

Possible Topics:

You may choose from the list provided or come up with your own topic. Choose something to do with land, real estate, land laws, current happenings, etc. It just must pertain to real estate.

Topic Approval:

Please choose one topic and stick to it. I’d like you to decide on the topic and email me your choice by 04/15/21 at midnight at the latest. I don’t want students to write on the same topic and so I will approve your choice. Do not start until you get approval from me. It is first come first serve! Once you get approval, no one else may use your topic. If you do not email me your choice, or you have no preference, I can help assign a topic.
