Title: (potential title, feel free to make suggestions) A study of the molecule mechanism of oligo-peptides in dehydration stress in plant

II. Keywords and Abstracts (English)

List keywords and summarize the main points of this grant proposal.

1. Abstract in English (maximum 500 words).

(In order to help you-

1. Here is the information for you about the what is the significant biological and scientific questions, direction, in this proposal, and how will we plan to design experiments to address the specific questions in this proposal.

2. the proposal should start with abstract, introduction, significants, specific aims, and how do you plan to address them, and what results do you expect to get? And future plan.

Such as

Here is the summary for this research current and future plan.

1. Duo to the global warming, how to prevent water lost is important for planta

2. Phytohormone, ABA plays a key role under dehydration stress in plans.

3. Peptides function as nutrient, also as signal molecule.

4. oligo-peptide transporters n Arabidopsis is responsible for oligo-peptide as well as ABA transport.

5. Addition oligopeptide can cause stromata close and prevent water lost under dehydration stress.

6. the mutants of oligo-peptide transporters, PTRs, shown participated in regulation of dehydration stress in Arabidopsis.

7. the aim for this study is to understand the underlying mechanisms of PTRs mediated oligo-peptide transport and signaling under dehydration stress.

8. Strategies & methods: by a mutant screening for dehydration sensitivity, under oligo peptide as solo nitrogen condition, we will identify the key genes which participate in oligo-peptide and dehydration stress.

9. Protein- protein interaction, such as Yeast-two hybrid, BiFC, in vitro and in vivo will further be used for understanding the relationship of interactions.

10. We will measure the fresh weight, water content photosynthesis activity, recover rate, as well as yields, to confirm and understand the regulation mechanisms.

11. This proposal is trying to study the functions of oligo-peptide in dehydration stress in Arabidopsis and try to identify the key genes regulated the whole pathway.

This should a four to five years grant proposal. Each year has specific plan.

Please outline the objective of your research proposal and its potential impacts on society, economy, and academic development (maximum 300 words).
