I found the article “Avatars Interview” very interesting. In my opinion, it is another proof of how technology has been winning each day more space in the life of humans’ beings. The authors exposed clearly, the advantages of using avatars to assist fraud examiners during the interview process and I agree with them. There are basic questions, that are certainly better if they are made by a virtual agent, especially, because as they state: the computer isn't capable of moral or social judgment. (Brody, Pickard & Agins, 2015,) Which means that the suspects will not be tempted to hide information at least for the reason of being judge in that present moment. I believe that although the human behavior is not an exact science as Mathematics or Physics, etc. computers systems indeed can be program to read the body language and facial expressions in an efficient and effective way. Creating reports with assumptions regarding to psychosocial and behavioral patterns, not only faster but also more accurate than if they were made for a person. These reports then will be the base for a personal interview between the suspect and the expert. It’s valid highlight that I consider that avatars can function as assistants, but they will never be a complete replacement for the experts.

Interviews are a technique that must be followed in align with the current ethical and constitutional laws.  Not even avatars can violate the privacy of a suspect. For instance, searching and/ or inquiring beyond of what is allowed. The Fourth Amendment is one of the Constitutional Laws that protect citizens against that kind of aggression. Discrimination of sex, gender, age, must be taken into consideration as well.

The article “Regulating the Future? Concludes that: the legal implications of emerging technologies are not reflected in the EU. Székely, Szabó, & Vissy, B. (2011)) this happens because unfortunately, nowadays there are a number of questions that can’t be answered with relation to legal and ethical standards and the relations with the use of new technologies. But It seems to me that in the near future, the implementation of new technological advances, including the use of avatars as interviewers, it’s a fact, as well as the necessity of creating the corresponding rules, laws, and norms to protect every suspect. Moreover, will be mostly granted the probability of success of any investigation to a major extent.
