Timing (maximum of 5 pages for written options and 7 minutes for presentation): 10 points
Creativity: 10 points
APA Formatting and Style: 10 points
At least 3 Citations of Research Literature: 10 points
Appropriateness for children/youth with moderate to severe disabilities: 15 points
Adaptation or modification to support EL students: 15 points
Possible considerations:
-issues of language learning vs language disability
-differentiation based on students’ primary language and English proficiency
-consideration of students’ culture, level of acculturation, and prior schooling
Adaptation or modification to meet the needs of children/youth in your classroom or school site: 20 points
