Similarities
If one is Egypt, the other is in France and the cultures are different, these two works have many common characteristics. In both works, it is a head figure and very thin carved and characteristic features are emphasized for understanding that figures are important figures. Both head figures were made in limestone. Perhaps the use of limestone in their own culture is common in some cases. Estimates can be made as to whether the works of the important people are to be longevity or to make the sculptures of important people from limestone.
Another common feature is that these two historical figures, Tutankhamun and David, are very important names in their geographies and are well known and even known in both figures. Both are religious and political figures. In both works, the remains of a whole have become heads. One is described with a crown and the other with a "blue-crown".And also It is rare artifacts that have been preserved from time to time.
Differences
Their histories, the cultures they belong to, their geographies, their dimensions are the most obvious differences, but when you look at it in more depth, there are many differences.
When we look at Tutankhamun's head, we see that instead of drawing individual facial lines, the symbols of the tiger, the relation of the pharaoh to the gods, and the symbols of the pharaoh's preposition are more frontal. At David's head, we see that the face lines are very careful to their hair and beards. It is a difference about the artistic trends of their time and geography. As in most statues in Egypt, this statue of Tutankhamun's grave is to help Tutankhamun to be remembered and remembered for his eternal life after death. But David does not have the same goals for his head. It is thought to have been made because of the importance of being a historical and religious figure in describing an event.
