USE the template: Competitor Analysis: Tool for Comparative Ratings to analyze your business venture idea (existing or not yet launched) and figure out how it measures up to the competition. You should consider DIRECT & INDIRECT competitors (note: if you have a very unique idea then all your competitors may be indirect).

In the template there is room for 5 competitors. You should be able to list five if you are considering your idea seriously and realistically. This concept is covered in your textbook and it is an important step in deciding how to proceed with your idea and determining YOUR competitive advantage!

REMEMBER: This ties into a good elevator pitch and ultimately can help result in generating interest and funding for your venture!

TYPE your RESPONSES directly into the template and send as an MS Word document attachment in the corresponding drop box. Your responses should be detailed enough (5 sentences each-MINIMUM) to showcase the knowledge gained and the research completed. If you prefer you can handwrite your responses on a printed copy of the form BUT then you MUST SCAN and send the attachment to in your dropbox as a PDF file.

Entrepreneurship is an exciting path that requires passion and hard work. The choice to pursue your dreams can offer rewards beyond measure. As you will learn throughout this topic, many steps and much research is needed to gain as much knowledge as possible prior to launch your new business.
