1. SEQ CHAPTER \h \r 1The data set “ HWJ100.SAV” contains participants’ data on number of jobs held (Jobs), cognitive variables (quant, verbal, and GPA) and psychological variables (self confidence and extra-version).

a. Run appropriate descriptive statistics and correlation analysis or analyses to examine relationships between and among these variables.

b. In 1-2 paragraphs, report the result of your analyses, paying special attention to the following relationships:

(i) between jobs and cognitive variables (quant, verbal, and GPA)

(ii) between jobs and psychological variables (selfconf, extrav)

(iii) between the cognitive and psychological variables.

2. Family caregiving of older adults is more common in Korea than in the United States. Son et. Al. studied 100 caregivers of older adults with dementia in Seoul, South Korea. The outcome variable, caregiver burden (BURDEN), was measured by the Korean Burden Inventory (KBI) where scores ranged from 28 to 140 with higher score indicating higher burden. Perform regression analysis on the following independent variables reported by the researchers. Report your analysis in 2-3 paragraphs. Be sure to include all relevant summary tables, including descriptive statistics and regression results. Where helpful, include full model and restricted model regression results. Use the data ‘CAREGIVING.SAV’.

CGAGE: caregiver age (years)

CGINCOME: caregiver income (in Won, the Korean currency).

CGDUR: caregiver duration of caregiving (in months)

COG: cognitive impairment with lower scores indicating a greater degree of

cognitive impairment.

SOCIALSU: total score of perceived social support (25-175, higher values

indicating more support.

MEM: memory and behavioral problems with higher scores indicating more

problems.

ADL: total activities of daily living where low scores indicate the elderly

perform activities independently.

3. Use Valuedata_2.sav for this assignment. The variable description for this data set is explained in the document ‘value data variable description’ (found in Moodle). Conduct appropriate analyses to answer the following:

a. Briefly describe the demographic characteristics (gender, grade levels, religious affiliation, type of schools, age) of the participants in this data.

b. The data set contains a variable called Depress, a measure of depression. From the list of variables in the data set, choose 4-6 variables that may reasonably explain depression. Run multiple regression analysis to determine how well the 4-6 variables you have selected explain depress

c. Report your analysis in 2-3 paragraphs. Be sure to include all relevant summary tables.
