Synthesis Assignment: WRITING YOUR DISCUSSION SECTION!! 

This is your chance to discuss your topic and write what you want to say about it. Choose 2-3 ideas/points that you wish to elaborate on related to the topic (Use Level 2 subheadings (bold and flush left) for the different ideas/points to organize the discussion. Each idea/point should be supported by applying some of the research you found in your literature review, citing sources in APA format, if necessary, for pulling information from the source, and be given a Level 2 heading to discern what it is that is being discussed. 

Tips for a Discussion section:

· FIRST:  Review the Discussion section in the APA Sample paper – notice the tone, citations, and Level 2 Headings (flush left and bolded) to help separate the ideas – remember, you will need at least one level 2 heading in the Discussion. · Think about what the findings of your Lit Review mean? What do you want to elaborate on?

· Limit your discussion to 2-3 of the most important points

· Do not just repeat the introduction

· Cite sources for a stronger message!
