Thesis statement: Coping with Loss in the modern world for the youths is a very fundamental principle of understanding the Disorder of Life as they face the day to day challenges in life.
Coping with Loss can be regarded as one of the core themes in "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time" novel. This has been linked with another theme which is the disorder of life. Together they form a strong statement that is meant educate the teenagers and the society at large on how important it's to understand that life has challenges and when those challenges arise, it doesn't become the end of the world. With this regard, a challenge has to be treated as a life disorder and the faster we cope with it, the better. For instance, employment is a challenge to many youths in the current world even though they have gone to school and acquired the necessary knowledge besides experience for them to be taken in for employment opportunities. In this example, struggles undertaken to gain education and lack of employment is a sign of disorder and loss, but all the same, youths need to be creative and innovative so that they can invent a bright future for their life instead of just being stressed with lack of jobs (Jones, 2017).
In the novel, most of the characters experience a loss in life. With the introduction of Wellington’s murder, we encounter Christopher who thinks about the death of his mother which was a loss in his life. We see Christopher coping with the death of his mother bearing in mind she didn't even say bye to her son before passing away. Although this was a disorder in Christopher's' life, he accepted the passing away of his mother and accepted to move on with life. Christopher further can be seen in the need to see an orderly world. From the difficulties, he faced on going on vacation with his folks who had no specific routine to guide them and the fact that massive urban structure he once passed through on his way to London to find his mother paralyzed him, clearly shows a symbol of family disorder he faces in life (Bolton, 2016).
