Project prep 1 reference
Overview
This course requires you to submit the course project in Module Nine. However, you’ll complete mul!ple prepara!on
assignments along the way to guide you to a successful submission of the project.
For this assignment, you will iden!fy credible resources aligning with four cri!cal sec!ons of the course project. You will list
your resources in a reference document using APA format and briefly describe how each resource is appropriate for the
project. Your submission does not need to be structured like an annotated bibliography, but it should have enough resources
to help you get started with the course project. The prepara!on work you will submit through this assignment will help you
complete the course project on !me.
Direc!ons
Create a reference document that lists the resources for the course project. Refer to the “Ge"ng Started with Research at
Shapiro Library" sec!on of the Shapiro Library Guide: Nursing—Graduate, located in the Start Here sec!on of the course, to
help you complete this assignment.
If you need wri!ng support, access the Online Wri!ng Center through the Academic Support module of your course.
Specifically, you must address the following rubric criteria:
1. Content: Iden!fy at least two resources for each of the four cri!cal sec!ons in the course project: Strategic Planning,
Healthcare Reimbursement, Revenue Cycle Process, and Reimbursement Compliance. Do not include any resources
provided in any of the Module Resources sec!ons throughout the course.
2. Relevance: Describe the relevance of the resources you iden!fied in a short paragraph, using two to three sentences
for each resource. Consider the following ques!ons to guide your response:
How is the resource aligned with the relevant sec!on in the course project?
How will the resource inform your wri!ng, as well as be considered as evidence to support each of the four
cri!cal sec!ons?
3. Credibility: Explain why the sources you iden!fied are credible, scholarly and/or professional resources and the
importance of including credible sources as evidence to support your claims. Consider the following ques!ons to
guide your response:
Has the resource been peer reviewed or taken from a reputed source such as a government website?
Is the informa!on up to date (published within the last five years)?
4. Gap Assessment: Iden!fy gaps in your research and determine how to close these gaps. Consider the following
ques!ons to guide your response:
Have you iden!fied the areas in the project where you need to do further research and add resources?
What addi!onal research will you conduct to close your knowledge gaps (for example, interviewing leadership
in your organiza!on, Google Scholar search, etc.)?
All the claims in your deliverable should be evidence based. Your cita!ons should be from your independent search for
evidence (not from the scenario, textbook, or module resources) of credible sources and be current within the last five years.
You are required to cite a minimum of two sources, at least one of which should be separate from your own research.
