Project: Construction of Jasim Stadium

Project Summary

The project will be a mega-stadium capable of hosting different indoor games. The project will aim to satisfy the need to host a number of indoor games within the same location. In the past, indoor games have proved hectic to host since no stadium can host them simultaneously. Sports activities to be held inside the stadium include; swimming, fencing, badminton, bowling, kabaddi, kickboxing, mixed martial arts, netball, volleyball, tennis and professional wrestling. A large number of games hosted inside the stadium gives this project a unique complexity. The sporting activities are supposed to run co-currently without any event depending on the other.

The project will involve a number of interested parties who are willing to put their investment into the project. The project will be located on the outskirts of a major city. This will attract more people during sporting activities due to the availability of accommodation within the city. Accomplishment of the project are founded on the knowledge of the project manager who is responsible for the overall project plan. The period within which the project is to be achieved is a subject to a number of factors. Nevertheless the project should take a minimum of three years to be completed.

Project Goals and Objectives

Some of the expected project impacts include easing congestion in the existing stadiums, act as a key towards growth of the city and provide a world class sporting experience. The project has a goal of bringing together a host of nations which is a step towards globalization. Globalization has seen the increase in number of people willing to participate in sports. Sporting activities have grown from being a hobby into careers filled with professionals (Pedersen, 2017). Sports has become a part of our daily activities. In the past years, there were only few major sporting activities. The world has experienced an extreme dependency for sport. Every country takes pride in their sportsmen and sportswomen. For this reason, the project has the goal of ensuring that it fulfils the need to participate in games. The primary purpose of participating in any sporting activity is to socialize, compete and have fun. The project’s goal is to ensure that a lot of people converge together to support their favorite teams while enjoying the company of friends and new acquaintances.

Apart from the deliverables of the project, the project is also expected to bring about huge benefits to the city. The major goal of the project is to de-congest other stadiums within the city. The project has a goal of bringing other benefits apart from its expected aim. Since the project is expected to house both residential buildings and commercial spaces, this will increase the tax collection in the city. The commercial properties in the mini-city built will house retail stores which will increase business activities. The project will also benefit the railway station by increasing the amount of passengers using the railway services for transport. A decongested city results to a cleaner and trash free city. The city management will now be able to manage the garbage collection and sewage systems. Creation of employment is also an advantage of the project. More than 600 workers will work daily on site of the project. These are among some of the beneficial changes which the project brings.

The business behind the project has a goal of incubating globalization through sports. The project aligns its goals within the business context. The project also aims to create an environment where its shareholders enjoy maximum profit from their investments. Investing in a growing trend is the most appropriate step during this age. For this reason, the project combines investment with a popular trend. The project therefore has a goal of creating a modern investment which will serve the interests of millions of people. There is a growing concern on modern racism in the world. Creating a masterpiece stadium that will bring together a huge number of people from different races minimizes racism.

The objective of the project is to build a stadium that outstands all the other building surrounding it. The stadium is supposed to seen from far even from outer space due to its visual comportment. The model of the stadium is meant to depict the idea of a city within a city. Achieving a global stadium whose art expresses the idealist utopic world of a sports fan. The stadium is supposed to have a host of buildings inside which will be used for the various activities. The architecture art and science will represent an expression of a ball within a pool. Such a model will give the project a visual presence unchallenged by the surrounding buildings. The quality of the project will be in line with the importance of the structure to the world of supports. Materials used during the process will be of high quality so as to maximize safety.

The project will improve the beauty of the stadium. This will be achieved by creating a stadium which will serve as the city’s landmark. Creating a visual dominant figure will enrich the city’s beauty while ensuring that others benchmark will this project. Upon completion of the stadium, it will serve as an important aerial path used to access the city. The stadium will serve as an example of a futuristic creation of public socialization space.

Project deliverables

The project is expected to deliver after phase I which will be characterized by extensive discussion with the key customers. The customers also provided a detailed documentation pertaining to all their requirements .Additionally, phase I of the project will include application of the contracts terms and conditions. After phase I the project will deliver a well prepared preliminary design and model for the whole construction. The design will elaborate all the expected structural and infrastructural constructions including all the interior and exterior design models. This will also include elaborations on the design to follow during constructions. The project will provide a modified design with reference to the customers’ requests. Additionally, the project will deliver a well prepared plan inclusive of cost estimates with final reports for implementation and execution. This will include the expected time frame during which the project will deliver key milestones.

The project model will be presented together with a budget estimate amounting to $45,000,000.phase I will be authorization of the project, provision of a project scope, giving a plan of cost, health and safety plan and an architectural plan. Phase I will deliver a procurement and purchasing of all required materials such as labor, machinery and other relevant materials. High level milestones in phase III will be; Start development, begin Landscaping, discover all utilities and specialists to guarantee structures meet code, Start Flooring, Arrange Stadium Electric fittings, Develop the rooms and insides, begin fitting washrooms, Painting, attain set Fire Code, Gain approval from city council and Rectifications of blunders and issues. In the arranging stage, there are 4 principle expectations including Assemble venture group, Develop venture scope, Resource arranging and Design. Amid Procurement stage, there are three primary expectations, which are buy materials, lease types of gear and contract workers. The development stage will be isolated into Horizontal Construction and Vertical Construction. Amid flat development, we will establish stadium framework and turf and furthermore introduce on field goalposts and seats.

Among standing development, the project will develop grandstands, assemble bathrooms, squeeze box and film industry. The Finishing stage additionally have two primary expectations, Fitting and outfitting. In fitting, there will be introduction of lights, electric fittings, plumbing, electronic scoreboard and sound gear. In outfitting, we will do the work of art, create room and inside plan, and embed hash-imprints and yard-lines. The last stage will test. In this stage, the stadium will be tried whether it meets fire code and will pick up endorsement from city gathering. Also, we will correct mistakes and issues if there are. In the event that the testing result is great, the entire undertaking is finished and the task is prepared for us.

Communication plan

The conditions set forth by a contractual obligation of project delivery and performance requires constant communication by participating team members. The human resource manager will establish communication channels within the team. All progress will be assessed by the project manager after which he will communicate necessary changes to the team. The team members are expected to have an open and consultative communication medium while undertaking the project. During the project, the team will hold daily meeting excluding holidays, weekends or any other non-working day set by the company. A report of progress will be regular delivered to the project sponsors and the board of management. This means that the project team will provide detailed procedures, arising issues and tentative results on a periodic basis. All

Project Timeline

The project will begin construction on 1st December 2018 and it is expected to be completed by 1st November 2019.

The total budget estimates for the whole project is $35,000,000. This amount is broken down into:

Material procurement and machinery hiring cost $16,200,000

Labor cost $10,300,000

Non-labor cost $8,500,000
