Introduction

Your response to crisis has the ability to diffuse or ignite. While it is difficult to anticipate every possible crisis, it is possible to prepare and to learn from the response of others.

Instructions:

In this assignment you will have the opportunity to examine and analyze crisis response, related to stakeholder communication.

1. Research, analyze and present an educational institution's or program's response to a crisis that occurred in the last five years.

2. Develop a presentation analyzing an institution's or program's response to a crisis.

○ Provide a summary of the crisis and the response from the institution or program.

○ How was information related to this crisis communicated? (e.g. news conference, town hall, written communication, etc.)

○ Based on what you have learned about crisis response, was this handled appropriately? Why or why not?

○ Anything else that could be done? ○ Cite evidence from the reading or other scholarly sources, to

support your analysis.
