My Blackboard Menu Navigation In addition to the left side navigation in the courseroom, you may also navigate to course content areas using the My Blackboard menu. This area provides you a quick view of all activity across your courses and provides additional navigation options for specific areas in your courses.

Note: This area of the courseroom can be confusing for many learners. We suggest you get comfortable using the links in the left- side navigation and the course content pages to navigate the course, before using My Blackboard to move around.

The red box in the My Blackboard menu indicates the number of new notifications in each area of the course (new posts, grades, et cetera). These notifications will clear after you view each area.

FIRST: Click your name to access the Global Navigation Menu (My Blackboard).

Click Edit My Blackboard Profile to choose a profile picture and add profile details.

Click Bb Home to go to the My Blackboard home page.

Click Posts to view and respond to recent discussion activity.
