Part I:

Topic: artificial intelligence

Scope and value:

I am interested in learning how the introduction and advancement of technology, especially the emergence of Artificial intelligence, has changed the world. Therefore, my focus will be learning more about various types of artificial intelligence, their applications in various aspects of human life, and their potential ethical implications. Having an interest in learning more about AI will offer an excellent opportunity to learn and understand concepts used in AI and how different types of AI are applied in fields such as education, healthcare, business, and agriculture, among many others(Russell, 2020). Significant types of AI discussed within the study include but are not limited to self-awareness, theory of mind, limited memory machines, machine learning, and general AI. Also, within the selected topic, the focus will be on the significant ethical implications of artificial intelligence in human life. Among the key issues or ethical implications of AI that will be highlighted are bias and discrimination, privacy and confidentiality issues, and lack of transparency in most AI tools. Studying the ethical implications of human life will create value in my value. The insights gained can be applied to generating ideas on eliminating challenges with AI.

Communication medium:

I will use PowerPoint presentations by creating well-curated visual images, graphics, and videos to make the presentation more attractive and attention winning. I will also make my presentation unique by using diagrams to ensure the audience is engaged throughout the learning process.

Critical thinking questions:

What is artificial intelligence?

What are the benefits of AI?

What are the major types of AI?

What are the applications of AI in human life?

Will one day AI replace humans?

What are the ethical issues associated with AI?

How dangerous can AI be?

Part II:

There is a wide range of sources and libraries with numerous databases on technologies and the use of AI that will be used to support my study. One of the evidence-based databases that I will consider is the Scopus. This database contains not only peer-reviewed articles but also a wide range of quality, reliable, and verified articles by experts in the field of technology. The database contains articles from scientific journals to conference proceedings with adequate data about AI and its implications on human life (FRANKENFIELD, 2020). I will also consider another database, such as PsycINFO, which offers psychological results facts concerning technology such as AI. Tableau, Semantic Scholar, and Google Scholar will be utilized to locate evidence-based articles on AI and its impacts on various aspects of human life.
