As a parent It would be important to tell a child about puberty because a child need to know that their body will change mentally and physically and that it's a normal process for every child.

For Physical changes i would explain that puberty topically starts at 10 to 11 years old. They get taller, heavier and stronger and there are also changes in sexual organs, brains, skiing, hair and teeth. For a girl I would explain that she will develope breast and start her period and for a boy I would explain that they will develope a deeper voice and grow facial hair.

For Psychosocial changes i would explain the emergence of abstract thinking, growing the ability of absorbing the perspectives or viewpoints of others. The development of personal and sexual identity, the establishment of values, autonomy from family and more independence, and emergence of skills and coping strategies to overcome problems and crises.

For Cognitive Changes i would explain that during adolescence between 12 and18 years of age, the developing teenager gains the ability to think systematically about all logical relationships within a problem.
